Are you tracking the right metrics? Most product leaders don’t track metrics often enough. And when they do, they tend to focus on lagging indicators, like revenue. A good metric, sure, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.

What about usage: time spent, task completion, adoption rates? Those reveal where customers actually find value. Or team sentiment. One company I worked with tracked an “awesomeness” score every sprint. It sounded arbitrary, but over time, the trend line predicted morale dips before real issues surfaced.
