Building bespoke solutions for single buyers is a slow death for a product company. You quickly end up as a glorified software consulting shop with a messy, unmaintainable codebase.
Before you agree ask yourself if this request serves the broader market strategy. If it does not find a creative workaround or have the courage to say no. It is better to lose one contract than to lose your entire product focus.
